INGREDIENTS:
- Payasam rice (unangallari)...1/2cup
- Fenugreek seed (uluva)........1tsp
- Ashali (cress seed)................1/2tsp
- Salt .......................................to taste
FOR GRINDING:
- Grated coconut .......................1/4cup
- Cumin seed ..............................1tsp
- Shallots .....................................5nos
- Coriander seed ..........................1/2tsp
- Turmeric powder .......................1/4tsp
FOR TEMPERING:
Chopped shallots.................................4nos
Ghee ...................................................1/2tbsp
STEPS:
- Wash and cook the rice along with fenugreek seeds,ashali,salt and required water until it is done.
- Grind all above mentioned ingredients along with some water to a fine paste.
- Once the rice is done,add ground paste and mix well.When it is start to boil off the flame.
- Heat ghee in a pan add chopped shallots and saute until it is golden brown and garnish.
- Healthy and tasty jeeraka kanji is ready.Enjoy!!!!!!!!!
