kaya perattiyathu (plantain thick gravy)

INGREDIENTS



  • Plantain......2nos
  • Toor dal.....1/4cup
  • Turmeric powder....1/2tsp
  • Salt.....to taste
  • Green chilly....2nos
  • Curry leaves few 
  • Coconut oil....as required
 

  • STEP

  1. Pressure cook toor dal. 
  2. add plantain and green chilly and cook with little water,when it comes to boil add turmeric powder and salt and cook further until it is done.
  3.  meanwhile,grind coconut in a blender. 
  4. add the ground mix to the plantain.
  5.  turn off the flame before it comes to boil.
  6.  heat coconut oil in a pan,add mustard seed, when it crackle add curry leaves and 2 red chillies then add to the plantain .serve hot. 
  7. enjoy the dish.
