Thenga chammanthi for biriyani (coconut pesto)

Hi friends,
Today I am sharing a simple and tasty recipe.Thenga chammanthi.It is easy to make and delicious.This chammanthi is a nostalgic item for all keralites.Having posted the thalassery chicken dum biriyani for eid, best combination dum biriyani with thenga chammanthi,papad and raita.


SUMMARY:

  • Course............................pesto
  • Cuisine...........................kerala
  • Preparation time.............2minutes



INGREDIENTS:

  • Fresh grated coconut..........1cup
  • Green chilly.........................2to3
  • Curry leaves........................1sprig
  • Copped cilantro...................2tbsp
  • Chopped mint.......................1tsp
  • Ginger ..................................1small piece
  • Shallots.................................4to5
  • Tamarind or lemon juice.......1tbsp
  • Salt .......................................to taste


STEPS:

  1. Grind all ingredients until well combined and coarse paste.
  2. Serve along with any biriyani or pulao as an accompaniment.
  3. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!
