INGREDIENTS:
- Chana dal(kadala parippu)..1cup
- Chopped dry red chillies.....3to4
- Chopped shallots............10nos
- Chopped ginger..............2tbsp
- Chopped green chilly......2nos
- Chopped curry leaves.....3tbsp
- Salt..................................to taste
- Oil ...................................for fry
STEPS:
- Wash and soak chana dal for 3 to 4 hours,drain the water completely and pat dry.
- Grind soaked dal to make a coarse paste without adding water.
- In a mixing bowl add chopped shallots,ginger,red chilly,green chilly and salt, then squeeze them add crushed dal and mix well.
- Wet your hands and make it equal size balls with the mixture,then slowly press it to make a round shape.
- In a wok pour oil and heat it,when oil is hot reduce the flame to medium and deep fry the vadas both side until golden brown and drain them with paper towel.
- Delicious parippu vada is ready.Enjoy with tea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
NOTE: you can use toor dal instead of chana dal or both mixed equally.
