prawn roast (chemmeen roast)

INGREDIENTS 
  • Prawn....1 kg
  • Onion.....3nos 
  • Tomato....1big size
  • Curry leaves....1 string 
  • Ginger garlic paste...2 tsps 
  • Fennel seed powder ...1tsp
  • Pepper powder....1tsp  
  • Salt ...... to taste
  • Coconut oil ... as required


FOR MARINATION:
  • Chilly powder...1tsp
  • Turmeric powder....1/2 tsp
  • Salt ... to taste



STEPS 

1. Clean and wash the prawns.
2. Pat dry and marinate the prawns with above mentioned ingredients and keep aside
    for 10 minutes.
3. Heat coconut oil in a pan and fry prawns till half cook and strain from the oil,
    keep aside.
4. Saute onion,green chilly,ginger garlic paste, curry leaves and tomato orderly
    in the same oil in which prawns fried.
5. Add half cook prawns in the onion mix and cook for 3 minutes.
6. Then add pepper powder, fennel seed powder and curry leaves, mix well and
    cook 5 more minutes in low flame.
7. Prawn roast is ready to serve.
8. This delicious dish is good with rice and chapati, Enjoy the dish.
