Mutta/egg kebab

This is a iftar snack from kerala especially malabar. It can serve as appetizer and also as evening snack.





SUMMARY

 INGREDIENTS

  •  Hard boiled eggs......2nos
  •  Boiled potato large...2nos
  •  Onion........................2nos
  •  Green chilly..............3nos
  •  Chopped ginger.........1.5tsps
  •  Curry leaves............. few
  •  Turmeric powder.......1/2sp
  •  Salt............................to taste
  •  Chopped cilantro.......2tbsps
  •  Oil..............................3tbsps
  •  Beaten egg .................1no
  •  Bread crumbs..............3/4cup

 STEPS

  1.  mash the potato and keep aside. 
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, ginger,green chilly,curry leaves and salt,then saute. 
  3. When onion turns lightly brown, add turmeric powder and mashed potato, stir for 2 minutes, sprinkle chopped cilantro and switch off the flame.
  4.  Cut the boiled eggs into 4 pieces in long and keep aside. 
  5. Grease your palm and roll the potato mixture in to 8 medium sized balls.
  6.  Flatten balls in your palm and place one piece egg in the center and shape into oval kebabs.
  7.  Dip it in beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
  8.  Deep fry it until golden brown.
  9.  Serve warm, enjoy!!!!!
