INGREDIENTS :
- Mackerel (ayala)..3medium
- Tomato .................2small
- Green chilly...........3nos
- Curry leaves .........3spring
- Tamarind .............1 lemon size
- Chilly powder .......1tsp
- turmeric powder...1/2 tsp
- Salt ........................to taste
- Fenugreek seed....1/2tsp
- Shallots.................5nos
- Coconut oil............2tbsps
FOR GRINDING:
- Grated coconut....1/2cup
- Shallots ................3nos
- Fennel seeds........1/2tsp
STEPS:
- Clean and wash the fish, cut in to medium pieces.
- Soak tamarind in hot water and squeeze it.
- In a clay pot add tamarind juice, salt, sliced tomato, curry leaves, chilly powder and turmeric powder, heat it in medium flame For ten minutes.
- When tomato is become soft, add fish, then cook until it is done.
- Heat oil in a pan, add fenugreek seed, when it is crackled, add green chilly and curry leaves, stir for few seconds, then add ground coconut, saute for couple of minutes, now add required water, allow them to boil, then add in to cooked fish and combine well.
- Fish curry is ready.....enjoy!!!!
