Mirchi vada (stuffed chilly)

Today's my recipe is mirchi vada, this is very popular recipe is in Rajasthan, please try and feed back us.

  • Total time...............20minutes
INGREDIENTS:
  • Fry chilly....................6nos 
  • Oil............................for fry
FOR BATTER:
  • Besan........................1cup
  • Chilly powder.............1/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder.....1/4tsp
  • Hing.........................1pinch
  • Baking soda.............1/2tsp
  • Salt ........................to taste
  • Water.................as required
FOR STUFF:
  • Boiled potato............2nos
  • Chopped onion........3tbsps
  • Chopped green chilly..2nos
  • Chopped ginger........1/2tsp
  • Chopped cilantro.......2tbsps
  • Cumin powder..........1/2tsp
  • Amchoor...................1/4tsp
  • Hing..........................2pinch
  • salt..........................to taste
STEPS:
  1. Wash chilly and slit length wise, remove the seed, keep aside.
  2. In a bowl, smash potatos and mix with all the ingredients for stuff, fill them into chilli's slit.
  3. Make a thick batter with above mentioned ingredients and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, dip stuffed chilly in the batter and deep fry it until golden brown.
  5. serve with sauce or chutney......Enjoy!!!!!
