INGREDIENTS:
- Mutton pieces with bone.250g
- Water .............................21/2cup
- Turmeric powder ..........1/4tsp
- Salt ................................to taste
FOR GRINDING:
- Coriander seeds ............1tbsp
- Pepper corns .................3/4tsp
- Cumin seed ...................1/2tsp
- Shallots .........................6nos
- Ginger ...........................1 small piece
- Curry leaves ..................1spring
FOR SEASONING:
- Coconut oil ....................1tbsp
- Chopped shallots ...........5nos
- Curry leaves ...................2springs
STEPS:
- Wash well the mutton pieces and drain it.
- Make a smooth paste all the grinding ingredients and keep aside.
- Pressure cook the mutton pieces along with turmeric powder,salt and 21/2 cup water until it is done.
- Add ground paste into the cooked mutton and allow to boil for 5 minutes,then switch off the flame.
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped shallots and curry leaves,when it is golden brown pour into the soup and cover with a lid for 2minutes.
- Malabar mutton soup is ready, serve warm...........Enjoy!!!!1!
