Semiya payasam(vermicelli kheer)sadhya recipe # 6

Today's my recipe is Semiya payasam, it is very simple and yummy.


SUMMARY:
  • Course ...................payasam
  • Cuisine ..................Indian
  • Preparation time.....5minutes
  • Cooking time..........15minutes
  • Total time ...............20minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • Roasted vermicelli..1cup
  • Milk ........................5cup
  • Condensed milk ......1/2cup
  • Sago ........................11/2tbsp
  • Sugar ...........as per your taste
  • Ghee.........................11/2tbsp
  • Raisins......................15nos
  • Cashew (halves).......15nos
  • Cardamom powder....1/2tsp
  • Salt...........................a pinch

STEPS:

  1. Wash and soak sago in water, keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan, fry cashew and raisins separately till  golden brown, set aside for garnishing.
  3. In the same pan add milk, when it is start to boil, add soaked sago, keep stirring, add roasted vermicelli and cook 5 minutes, then add condensed milk, sugar and salt, cook until sugar is melted.
  4. Switch off the flame, add cardamom powder and combine well, then garnish with roasted nuts.
  5. Semiya payasam is ready, serve with warm or chilled...........Enjoy!!!!!!!
