Beef thenga aracha curry (beef with coconut gravy)

Hi friends,
Today's my recipe is beef thenga aracha curry.This is my moms recipe she is  an excellent cook.It is best combination with nice pathiri,porotta,chappati,ghee rice and noolputtu (idiyappam). Please try and feedback.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Beef .........................1/2kg
  • Onion .......................1no
  • Tomato .....................2nos
  • Green chilly (crushed)2nos
  • Ginger garlic paste......11/2tbsp
  • Curry leaves ................1sprig
  • Coriander powder .......1tbsp
  • Chilly powder .............1/2tsp
  • Turmeric powder .........1/4tsp
  • Garam masala  powde..1/4tsp
  • Salt ...............................to taste

FOR GRINDING:

  • Grated coconut .............1/2cup
  • Shallots .........................4nos
  • Fennel seed ...................1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves ..................1sprig

FOR TEMPERING:

  • Chopped shallots............7nos
  • Coconut oil......................11/2tbsp
  • Curry leaves ...................2sprigs






STEPS:

  1. Cut the beef into small pieces,wash well and drain it.
  2. Make a smooth paste with all grinding ingredients and keep aside.
  3. Marinate the beef with sliced onion,tomatoes,green chilly,ginger garlic paste,curry leaves and all  masala powders, then pressure cook until it is done.
  4. Now add ground coconut  paste and combine well.when it is start to boil switch off the flame.
  5. Then termper the curry with above mentioned ingredients and close with lid.
  6. Serve warm after 10 minutes.........Enjoy!!!!!!!!
