INGREDIENTS:
- Nhali poovan(Rasakadali)..8to 10(kerala small banana)
- Jaggery ..................................200g
- Chopped shallots....................150g
- Coconut milk...........................2cup
- Milk ........................................2cup
- Sugar........................................4tbsp
- Poha/beaten rice/aval ...............1cup
- Ginger juice .............................1tbsp
- Lemon juice .............................11/2lemon
- Salt ...........................................a pinch
FOR GARNISHING:
- Chopped dates........................3tbs
- Chopped cashew...................3tbsp
- Beaten rice............................3tbsp
STEPS:
- Take a bowl add peeled bananas and smash well, keep aside.
- In a sauce pan add jaggery and 1/4 cup water, then heat it until jaggery is melt strain it and set aside.
- In a bowl, add chopped onion and sugar knead until the onion juice is started to beck.
- Then add onion mixture,coconut milk and melted jaggery into smashed banana and mix well.
- Now add ginger juice,lemon juice and salt stir well,then add milk and flatten rice combine well.
- Take a long glass, pour Malabar kochi koya into the glass and garnish with garnishing ingredients.
- Malabar kochi koya is ready.............Enjoy!!!!!
