INGREDIENTS:
- Boneless chicken .........250g
- Bread slices ..................8 nos
- Onion ...........................2nos
- Ginger garlic paste........1tspn
- Green chilly ..................3nos
- Curry leaves ..................2springs
- Tomato ...........................1/2
- Pepper powder ................1/4tsp
- Turmeric powder..............1/2tsp
- Salt ...................................to taste
- Garam masala ..................1/4tsp
- Chopped cilantro...............3tbsp
- Ghee...................................11/2tsp
FOR BATTER:
- Egg ...................................4 to 5
- Milk ..................................3/4cup
- Pepper powder...................1/2tsp
- Salt .....................................to taste
STEPS:
- Cut the chicken into small pieces,wash well and drain it.
- Cook the chicken pieces along with salt turmeric powder and enough water,then shred the cooked chicken and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add onion,ginger garlic paste,chopped green chilly and curry leaves saute till onion is golden brown.Then add chopped tomato and salt,cover the pan and cook tomato is become soft.
- Now add pepper powder,turmeric powder and garam masala stir for few seconds.
- Then add shredded chicken and chopped cilantro saute for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove from the fire and keep aside,filling is ready.
- Remove the brown edges of bread slices and cut each bread slices into four pieces.
- Beat eggs well with pepper powder and salt.Take a bowl pour 1/3 portion of beaten egg add milk in to it and mix well keep aside.
- Heat a sauce pan and spread ghee all sides in the pan, (keep the flame very low)then pour 4 tbsps egg batter and spread it,then dip each bread pieces in the egg milk batter and place it over egg mixture,as a first layer.
- Then evenly spread chicken masala over the bread layer.Place again the bread slices dipped in egg, over the chicken masala.Then remaining eggs pour over the bread to fill all gaps,drizzle 1/2 tsp ghee over it.Cover with a lid and cook very low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Flip the pola after 20 minutes to another greased hot fry pan and cook for 3to 4 minutes.When it is done off the flame, transfer to a plate,let it cool and slice into desired shapes and serve.
