Nadan kozhi perattu (country style chicken dry roast)

Hi friends,
Today I am sharing a nadan recipe, kozhi perattu.It is very tasty and yummy.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Chicken   .................1kg
  • Sliced shallots..........1cup
  • Chilly powder...........1tbsp
  • Coriander powder......1/2tbsp
  • Garam masala.............1/2tsp
  • Turmeric  powder .......1/4tsp
  • Fennel powder..............1/2tsp
  • Coconut oil...................4tbsps
  • Curry leaves..................2sprigs
  • Chopped mint leaves....2tbsps
  • Salt ..............................to taste
STEPS:
  1. Clean the chicken, cut into medium pieces,wash and drain well.
  2. Heat a vessel and pour coconut oil,once oil is hot reduce the flame and add chilly powder,coriander,turmeric powder,garam masala and fennel powder then stir until masala become roast.(take care not to burn it).
  3. Now add 4tbsps  water into it and stir continuously till water is evaporate, again add 4tbsps water and stir until the oil starts to leave the sides of the vessel.
  4. Then add sliced shallots,chopped mint and curry leaves saute for 2minutes,now add chicken pieces stir well, cover with lid and cook without water until it is done.(should be stir occasionally)
  5. Serve warm with any Indian bread.......Enjoy!!!!!!
