Thai fried banana(Thai style banana fritters)

Hi friends,
Today I am sharing  Thai  fried banana recipe,when we were  visited in Thailand, we have seen this fried banana with the street vendors, when we try it found tasty and crunchy, so I thought to share it with you, This is a popular snack on the street in Thailand.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Ripe banana..........4nos
  • Oil .......................for deep fry
  • Sesame seeds.......2tbsps

FOR BATTER:

  • Rice flour     ..........1cup
  • All purpose flour....1/4cup
  • Grated coconut......3/4 cup
  • Sugar......................6tbsp/as ur taste
  • Baking powder.......1/2tsp
  • Salt..........................a pinch
  • Vanilla essence.......3drops
  • Water/coconut milk..as required

STEPS:

  1. Peel the bananas,cut into half and slice each pieces length wise into four slices.
  2. Dry roast sesame seeds and keep aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl add rice flour,all purpose flour,sugar.salt,baking powder,roasted sesame seeds and grated coconut mix well then add water /coconut milk little by little and mix well with out any lumps (batter should be thick).
  4. In another bowl add 2tbsps rice flour,1/4cup grated coconut mix well and keep aside.
  5.  Heat oil in a wok on medium flame, dip banana slices into the batter then gently roll them in the rice flour-coconut mixture(this step helps firm up the batter and more crispy)  then deep fry it until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towel.Serve as a snack or with coconut or vanilla  ice cream.
  7. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
