malabar special veg curry




SUMMARY

INGREDIENTS

  • Toor dal...1/4cup
  • Ash guard...300grms 
  • Plantain.... 2nos
  •  Yam....150grms
  • Colocasia.... 2nos
  • Tomato.... 2nos
  • Green chilly....2nos
  • Chilly powder...1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder...1/2tsp
  • Salt.....to taste 
  • Tamarind..... a lemon size


 FOR GRINDING 

  •  Scrapped coconut ...11/4cup
  •  Cumin seed..1/2tsp 
  • Shallots....3nos 


FOR SEASONING 

  • Mustard seeds...1/2tsp 
  • Coconut oil....2tbsps 
  • Scrapped coconut....2tbsps 
  • Curry leaves.... few 


STEPS


  1.  Pressure cook all the ingredients except tamarind. 
  2. When it is cooked, add tamarind water and bring it to boil. 
  3. Make a ground paste with all the ingredients for grinding and add to the curry,off the flame just before it starts to boil.
  4. Seasoning it with the above mentioned ingredients. 
  5. Serve hot with rice or Poratta.
