- Toor dal...1/4cup
- Ash guard...300grms
- Plantain.... 2nos
- Yam....150grms
- Colocasia.... 2nos
- Tomato.... 2nos
- Green chilly....2nos
- Chilly powder...1 tsp
- Turmeric powder...1/2tsp
- Salt.....to taste
- Tamarind..... a lemon size
FOR GRINDING
- Scrapped coconut ...11/4cup
- Cumin seed..1/2tsp
- Shallots....3nos
FOR SEASONING
- Mustard seeds...1/2tsp
- Coconut oil....2tbsps
- Scrapped coconut....2tbsps
- Curry leaves.... few
STEPS
- Pressure cook all the ingredients except tamarind.
- When it is cooked, add tamarind water and bring it to boil.
- Make a ground paste with all the ingredients for grinding and add to the curry,off the flame just before it starts to boil.
- Seasoning it with the above mentioned ingredients.
- Serve hot with rice or Poratta.
