INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken................1/2 kg
- Onion ...................2 nos
- Tomato .................1nos
- Potato....................1 cubed
- Carrot ...................1 cubed
- Ginger garlic paste.1 tbsp
- Green chilly............3nos
- Curry leaves...........2 sprigs
- Chopped cilantro....2 tbsp
- Thin coconut milk..1 cup
- Thick coconut milk.1/2 cup
- Poppy seeds ............1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon 1/2 inch...2 stick
- Cloves .......................3 nos
- Cardomom.................4 nos
- Pepper corn ...............8 nos
- Bay leave ..................1nos
- Coconut oil................21/2 tbsp
STEPS:
- Clean and wash the chicken and cut into small pieces.
- Heat 1tbsp oil in a pan add the chicken and frying for a couple of minutes.
- When it is slightly brown, transfer into a bowl and keep aside.
- Heat remaining oil in the same pan, add whole garam masalas and stir for few seconds.
- Now add onion, green chilly, curry leaves, potato, carrot, ginger garlic paste, salt and tomato and saute it for 3 minutes.
- Then add chicken and thin coconut milk and stir well, close the pan with lid and cook medium flame until it is done.
- Soak poppy seeds in warm water and graind it well.
- When chicken is done add poppy seed paste and combine well.
- Now add thick coconut milk,off the flame just before it starts to boil and sprinkle chopped cilantro.
- Serve with palappam enjoy........
