INGREDIENTS:
- King fish..............300 g
- Bread ..................10 nos
- Onion.....................5 nos
- Green chilly ..........3 nos
- Tomato...................1 no
- Ginger garlic paste.1tbsp
- Curry leaves...........2 sprigs
- Chopped cilantro....2 tbsp
- Fennel seed powder.1/2tsp
- Ghee.......................2 1/2 tbsp
- Salt ........................to taste
FOR BATTER:
- Egg ........................6nos
- Thick coconut milk.1 glass
- Cardamom powder..1tsp
FOR MARINATION:
- Chilly powder..........3/4tsp
- turmeric powder.......1/4tsp
- fennel seed powder..1/4tsp
- Salt ..........................to taste
STEPS:
- Clean and wash the fish and marinate with above mentioned ingredients.
- Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan, shallow fry (half fry) the fish and remove the bone, just crush it 1/2 inch pieces with hands,keep aside.
- In the same ghee used to fry the fish,add sliced onion and fry till it becomes golden brown, add green chilly, ginger garlic paste,curry leaves,chopped tomato, fennel seed powder and salt,Saute it for few minutes, take 1/4 portion from this masala and keep aside.
- Add fish into the remaining masala and combine well.
- Beat eggs with coconut milk, cardamom powder and a pinch of salt, then add 1/4 portion of masala and mix well.
- Remove the crest from bread, spread the ghee in a baking tray and dip the bread in egg batter, arrange dipped bread in baking tray as a base layer.
- Place the fish masala on top of the base layer and spread evenly, then arrange egg batter dipped bread again top layer, pour remaining egg batter on top of it (make sure batter is covered evenly).
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180c for 15 or 20 minutes as required.
- Serve warm with tea or coffee.........Enjoy the delicious snack.!!!!
