INGREDIENTS:
- Vazha koombu.... 1 medium (banana blossom)
- Shallots..................6nos
- Urad dall..............1/2tsp
- Row rice...............1tsp
- Curry leaves..... 2sprigs
- Mustard ...............1/4tsp
- Red chilly.............2nos
- Coconut oil..........1tbsp
FOR GRIND:
- Grated coconut....1/2cup
- Green chilly.........2nos
- Shallots................4nos
- Garlic cloves.......1nos
STEPS:
- Remove the red petals one by one until the middle inner white part, now chop the cleaned florets and immerse in butter milk or turmeric water till used to cook.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan,add rice, stir until golden brown, add mustard seeds,urad dall, red chilly,chopped shallots and curry leaves, saute it well.
- Now add chopped banana blossom and salt, mix well, cover the pan with lid and cook for couple of minutes in low flame.
- Grind to a coarse paste with above mentioned ingredients.
- Add coarse paste in to the cooked banana blossom and mix well.
- Keep stirring until all the water is evaporates.
- Banana blossom stir fry is ready......Enjoy the dish..!!!!!
