INGREDIENTS:
FOR GRINDING:
- Raw rice ..............1cup
- Egg ......................1no
- Cooked rice..........1/4cup
- Coconut milk........1/4cup
- Baking soda...........1/4tsp
FOR CHICKEN MASALA:
- Boneless chicken....150g
- Onion ......................2 big
- Green chilly..............2nos
- Curry leaves..............2springs
- Ginger garlic paste....1/2tsp
- Chopped cilantro.......2tbsp
- Coconut oil................11/2tsp
- Garam masala ...........1/4tsp
- Pepper powder ...........1/2tsp
- Turmeric powder.........1/4tsp
- Grated coconut.............1/4cup
- Salt ..............................to taste
- Oil................................for fry
STEPS:
- Cut the chicken into small pieces, wash well and cook along with salt and turmeric powder.Then crush them and keep aside.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan add sliced onion, salt, chopped green chilly,ginger garlic paste and curry leaves saute until onion is golden brown.
- Now add chicken,pepper powder,turmeric powder and garam masala saute for couple of minutes,then add grated coconut stir again few seconds,remove from fire allow to cool.
- Grind all above mentioned grinding ingredients,make a smooth batter then add prepared chicken masala into it,combine well and keep aside for 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a unniyappam pan (unniyappam mould pan) in medium flame and pour half ladle of batter into each rounds and cook.
- When the bottom get golden brown,turn the unniyappam with a spoon and cook other side too.
- Once they cooked,remove and drain on a kitchen towel. tasty spicy chicken unniyappam is ready to serve.Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
