Lamb head special curry (Attinthala curry)

Hi friends,
Today I am sharing lamb head curry (ആട്ടിൻതല  കറി ).It is very delicious and really easy to make.



SUMMARY:

  • Cooking time...........20minutes
  • Total time.................30minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • Lamb head ................1no
  • Salt.............................to taste

FOR GRINDING:

  • Coriander seeds..........2tbsp
  • Pepper corn ................3/4tsp
  • Cumin seeds................3/4tsp
  • Turmeric powder..........1/4tsp
  • Shallots .......................10nos
  • Ginger .........................2inch piece
  • Curry leaves.................2sprigs

FOR TEMPERING:

  • Chopped shallots..........8nos
  • Curry leaves .................2sprigs
  • Coconut oil....................11/2tbsp


STEPS:

  1. Clean the lamb head cut into medium size pieces,(brain should be separated) wash well and drain them.
  2. In a blender add all the grinding ingredients with required water  and  grind them make a  smooth paste.
  3. Marinate the lamb head with ground  masala and salt for 15 minutes.
  4. Pressure cook marinated meat adding  a cup of water until it is done.
  5. Once it is done temper it with above mentioned ingredients.
  6. Delicious lamb head curry is ready.
  7. Enjoy  with appam ,pathiri,idiyappam and rice!!!.
