Today I am sharing recipe of idiyappam. It is a traditional break fast dish in kerala.It is easy to make, delicious and tasty with the combination of both veg or non veg curries or coconut milk and sugar. it is also known as nool puttu, nool appam and sevai.

Today I am sharing recipe of idiyappam. It is a traditional break fast dish in kerala.It is easy to make, delicious and tasty with the combination of both veg or non veg curries or coconut milk and sugar. it is also known as nool puttu, nool appam and sevai.

INGREDIENTS:
- Nice rice powder.........2cup
- Salt..............................to taste
- Oil ...............................1tbsp
- Grated coconut..............3/4cup
- Water.............................2cup/as required
STEPS:
- In a mixing bowl add rice powder, salt and oil mix well and keep aside.
- Boil water in a sauce pan, once it starts bubbling switch off the flame,then add it into rice powder little by little and mix well with a wooden spatula, cover bowl with a lid,when it is warm enough to handle,knead well until a smooth dough and keep aside cover with lid.
- Lightly spread the idiyappam plate/idli mould with grated coconut to prevent sticking.
- Take idiyappam maker, fill the dough and squeeze it to idiyappam plate per your desired shapes, if you are using idly steamer just fill the idly mould.
- Then steam idiyappam for 5 minutes or until it is done.
- Transfer idiyappam in to a casserole and cover with lid.
- Tasty and delicious idiyappam is ready, serve warm........Enjoy...!!!!!!!!!
NOTE: It will be more tasty and soft if you make the dough with coconut milk instead of water.
